Welcome:

As administrators of busy oral surgery practices do you find that there are never enough hours in a day to complete every task or process every request made either by your staff or doctors? We juggle our schedules and prioritize; we take and return many important calls, schedule and attend important meetings, make time to listen to our staffs’ and doctors’ concerns, update and implement important changes, etc. Our responsibilities in running a successful OMS practice are endless. It is our responsibility as administrators/managers to make sure that every day runs smoothly, efficiently and harmoniously. We are responsible for so many of the “Behind the scenes” tasks that require are immediate attention and warrant immediate action. The ability to “Think on our feet” is the result of years of experience and professional training.

As administrators/managers we are expected to stay current on all issues concerning our profession; coding, state and federal regulations, medical technologies, human resource issues, the latest state-of-the art equipment/technology, software, economic trends and more. This is what we do - this is who we are: Practice Administrators and Managers of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practices small and large.

JAWS gives us the unique ability and luxury of networking with over 60 members nationwide. We support each other through various resources and tools;

  • Annual meeting with two – three days of educational sessions and time for networking
  • Quarterly Newsletters
  • Internet communication which allows us to share and exchange important information, compare ideas, find solutions specific to the OMS practice from our peers and so much more.

We experience great comfort having such unparalled resources and tools with the sharing of such an abundance of information so easily accessible. We understand your position better than any other organization out there today because our members are administrators/managers of practices just like yours.

We invite you to visit our website. Take a few minutes to review our organization and why JAWS members consider themselves fortunate to be part of such special and vital organization. You’ll find that JAWS and its members understands and appreciates administrators/managers like no other organization.

We hope that by joining you too will experience a sense of pride to be part of such a wonderful and useful organization where you will find your peers willing to offer advice/solutions and lend support in the daily operations of running your practice.
