Here is my testimonial:
Having been a practice manager for more than 22
years my biggest regret is that I didn't have the JAWS
organization earlier in my career. What a tremendous
opportunity for networking with others who
"know" exactly the pressures, problems and joys
of helping to run an OMS office. I attended my first JAWS
conference in 2011 and was impressed by the immediate
willingness to share insights and knowledge with me, the
newbie. JAWS provides a continuous source of sharing
through its blog and it's quite affirming to be associated
with an organization dedicated to just practice
administrators. I often feel like a sponge in our office,
hearing everyone's complaints, handling tough situations,
keeping staff, patients and the doctor all happy, so what
a gift JAWS is in that I can learn and question and vent
and grow with my colleagues. Don't hesitate, join today
and see for yourself how good it is to have a voice in our
profession.
Feel free to edit in any way or not use at all;
thanks for the opportunity to tell you how I feel.

"The rate of change in our Oral
Surgery practices is exponential and not expected to slow
down any time soon. Key drivers of change are people
(patient & employee) expectations, technology
(clinical, business & personal), and information
(easily obtained & shared). As professional practice
managers with a goal of facilitating successful practices,
we must be lifelong learners. The Jaws Society is the
leading source of formal and informal education
opportunities for OMS practice managers. It's mission is
to promote the professional development of OMS practice
managers through peer interaction and educational
programs. The relationships and learning experiences that
I have had the privilege to share through the Jaws Society
have been a key to my successful transition into OMS from
a medical specialty, my ability to stay current as changes
occur and my learning from the experiences of my
colleagues. The benefits of my Jaws Society membership are
further enhanced by my participation on the Conference
Committee where I have developed a stronger relationship
with a core group of OMS practice managers. The Jaws
Society is an important tool in my tool box!"

"The JAWS Society is the source for support if
you are a manager/administrator of an OMS practice. The
networking and educational opportunities are unparalleled.
Everyone is just like me - serious about quality and
committed to excellence. "
